Why I Rec This Fic: This is not what I expected to find, but it is an interesting topic handled in an interesting way, and Barbie was a cool character so its nice to see something with her.

Back in Molly's room Barbie had known Woody vaguely as the leader of Andy's toys and also as the kind of guy who wouldn't make a fuss about being asked to look for a lost accessory. Then, when all hope had seemed lost, he'd shown himself to be the kind of leader who would come back for his people and was capable of coming up with a plan for springing them. Now he was Bonnie's toy, but on those occasions when she brought him in he liked to check in with Barbie. Sunnyside wasn't his problem, but he seemed to think it was and Barbie was happy to have a second opinion. Or rather a third one, after Ken. Somehow she didn't think he'd be much help with her current plans, though.

They dance around the kitchen as the shrimp boils, laughing all the while, and Tiana can’t think of anything better than having a good time with someone you love while something hot simmers on the stove. Home, her heart sings out in time with the trumpets.

Why I Rec This Fic: For me its more about respect/trust/partnership then romance – so what really gets me in this is the solid characterication of both her and him. He is a pirate, greed and violence and she is too, hungry for more, not a bit practical and sometimes still so young.

"Poison is a woman's weapon, Miss Swann," he'd said as he'd flicked the small bottle at her, and though she'd bristled at the thought that she'd resort to such dirty tactics she could never bring herself to throw away the first gift he'd given to her as a comrade rather than a captor.

She had never even realized he could look guilty until the day he came to her and told her that young William had called him 'father'; it was one of the hardest things she'd ever done to say to him "Well... that is the title that deserves to go to the man who is here to watch him grow."

She laughed and twirled her way across the deck of their ship when the first flakes began to fall, and Barbossa was surprised to find that it lightened his heart to watch her, for all that he was certain she'd come to hate the snow within a few days of sailing on the frozen ocean.

"Can't believe any of those scurvy currs would've bothered getting a marker made for me," Barbossa muttered as they stood before the empty grave with his name on it in Tortuga, but Elizabeth thought he sounded pleased.

This video didn´t take very long to be made, but while i was technicaly finished it just didnt wanted to sit right with me for a while. its more a general mood/feeling video then my usal thight knitted referenced lyric style (can i say i have a style? even just this wide? i am not even vidding for a year - whatever), i mostly uploaded it to get over the uneasy feeling (i am horrible nervous and self hating). With a few days distance i think i can look at the good things about it, its a nice and fun and most of all light hearted and it makes me feel that way when i watch it so its good. My sister requested this fandom and she liked it so it is kind of my most succesful video, because it did what I wanted to do with it, made her smile (Hope it can make someone else smile too)

Notes;
i like the beginning, the horse FruFru tapping in this chic horse way to "a 1, 2, 3" and then George the weird lawyer walking in his very own way as the music kicks in.
There is a lot of little Marie being the brakes of the operation because she is in the movie (i identified with her a lot as a kid). its right there at the beginning, after the big house, that is not the important thing but the sticking together is.
"Water and electric and a place to drain the septic" - combined with water visuals: first the rain: and both the cats and the lady feeling sad and unable to sleep over the seperation. then when the lines come back the river in which O´Malley jumps to rescue Marie intercutted with him jumping to meet Swingy - showing again how while during their travle they sometimes lack the bare nessisarties, home is still where the heart is.
i really love "where the buffalo and antelope all roam"with them fondly watching uncle waldo and his girls. because this scene was one of my fav as a kid.
Don´t matter where we go/we never be alone" the fading in from him marking the x for the magic carpet ride to him and Duchess trying to say goodbye, because he first got struck when he saw she had kids but decided "if you are you O´Mally" (sounding a bit like if you are clever" which is what you would say normaly) you won´t just let them wander of on their own" but wanted to wave goodbye after that, and there they are finaly and don´t really want to be, even if she loves her Madame and wants to be with her again. (the two were top class romantic when i was a kid)
i always adored their madame twirling in front of her mirror and being "a sentimental old fool", and the way of the movement when the other cats circle around Duchess to invent her to dance.
i like the choice of ending shot.
