Why I Rec This Fic: This fic really has Luna down or at least as I see her, the conflict between being a young person wanting to LIVE (and love) and her duty, I also really like the writing style.

Why I Rec This Fic: Lovely Aranea voice!!
She smiles, and laughs, breathless. "Sure has." The sun's morning rays are bright, and she has to squint when she looks up, but it's there. Aranea's never been one to admire the sunrise, the gold and rose skies that romantics adore, but she's never been happier to see their star. They watch it, for a while, until the rush of euphoria and adrenaline leaves Aranea's body and her legs give out. Her hands grip the lance tighter, and she exhales forcefully, but Biggs lets her take his arm.

Why I Rec This Fic: Characters who are afraid to hope in fear to be dissapointed are my jam – and so are characters who are stubbornly hopeful – combine this two to a ship? I am very happy.
The voices for them are great and I specialy love the respect/love the writer has for Iris kind of strengh (as I have seen lots of characters like her being mistreated by fandom).
“This –” she touches her fingers lightly to the burnished silver of Aranea’s lance. “This is what keeps us safe.” She reaches out and touches her fingers to Aranea’s armor, the spot above her heart. “This is what keeps us going.”
It’s a pretty sentiment. Aranea wishes she could believe it. Maybe she does believe it. Maybe that’s why she’s so scared.

Why I Rec This Fic: This fic promises. Self-Discovery and Coffee Shop-AU stuff, and I would like to see it.
So far there is a real sweet moment between Pelena and Crowe, and the promise of growing and healing - my fav theme for fiction.
That’s what she fixates on while the doctor pokes her here and there and waves a penlight in front of her eyes. Not the fact that she had almost zero chance of survival and even less for recovery; the fact that nothingness could have been her last memory on Eos. The fact that she came this close to leaving this world the same way she arrived: abandoned, and alone.

Why I Rec This Fic: This kind of after life makes me for a lack of better word nervous/uneasy, but I can see that behind this personal feelings of mine, this is actually 100% soft fluff, and this characters really deserve a chance at „live“ and love.
It's night when they decide it's night. There's no daemons, so there's no reason to pull over -- they drive along the road until it turns to gravel, and when they don't want to strain the Regalia anymore ("She's been through enough," Noctis says, patting the hood), they walk. Luna carries her shoes in loosely in one hand when they get to the sandy expanse of the beach. The evening breeze is warm because they want it to be, and they shed their clothing as they walk: Nyx cracks first and loses his jacket, then Ravus, then Noctis. Luna just has her dress, she places her shoes down when the rest of them do, a spot of white in a circle of military-issue black boots.

After a few minutes of this, Luna’s tongue was heavy with the taste of copper, she couldn’t stop looking up at the sky for passing Imperial carriers, and her hand was unsteady as she pet Pryna at her side.
“Y’all mind if we play the radio?” a woman asked. Luna attempted a smile, and the woman fiddled with the dial until the final strains of a cheery pop song whistled through the air. Luna closed her eyes and scratched Pryna’s ruff as the DJ rattled off an advertisement for hair gel.
Continuing our saga today, the DJ said, we have another request from the Heroes. Princess, this is for you. “I’m On My Way," by S.O.L.D.I.E.R.
Luna wrapped her arm around Pryna, who huffed and lay her blocky head on Luna’s lap while the song played on.

Why I Rec This Fic: great writing style and this theme of making children into tools for their politics is a) super important to the canon game b) something i am always down for, for some reason.
He imagines it sometimes: the queen flipping through a portfolio, looking at the headshots of children from across Lucis; reading the carefully compiled family histories and political ties; picking out her own favorites from the candidate pool, lifting their names to the top. He imagines that she smiled when she saw his dossier, when she saw that they’d been born in the same region. He imagines that, if she’d lived, the queen would have taken an interest in him; she might have written letters to him, might have given him an allowance; she might have said, This one. I want this one for my son.

Why I Rec This Fic: I like the way the description of Ignis problems and dealing with it feel so close to real life, and how there is this very adult tone about finding ways to cope and accepting help, as someone who deals with brainweirdstuff too it is always nice to read that.
“You’ll have to stop growing like this,” he said, getting back to a friendly, familiar chat instead of the linguistic hellscape that was the newest building code update. “You’ll be taller than Clarus, and he won’t be happy with that at all. He’ll have to pass a law about it.”

Why I Rec This Fic: Given all that canon loads on their shoulders it is nice to see both of them (Iggy too!) just be stupid teens.
“Remember the time you broke your nose ‘cause you were so sure you didn’t need to be able to warp to get to your lance from the roof?”
“And my arm,” Ignis says, thoughtfully, “Touche.”
Ignis rises up from the ground in one fluid motion, graceful like a flower or some shit. Gladio really likes watching him move around; Gladio’s also pretty bad at hiding it, if Ignis’ blush is anything to go by. That’s also a really good look. He gets his lance and sticks it firmly into the ground in the center of the grassy patch, then backs a couple yards away.
“If this is just your jumping off the roof thing, I don’t need to see it again.”
Ignis ignores him, the way he apparently needs to a lot of the time so he doesn’t stop hanging out with Gladio. Gladio’s pretty sure now that the whole kissing thing’s a thing, Ignis is just pretending to get fed up, but he’s also pretty sure he doesn’t get to do the kissing thing if he doesn’t play along. The kissing thing is important, and Gladio’s real good at playing along.

Why I Rec This Fic: Writing the fic focusing on Gladios perspective is such an interesting choice, there is some wonderful banter and the bittersweet mood is set wonderful.
"You guys take some cots into the next room," Noct says at last. "Except you, Specs. You and I need to come up with a plan."
Ignis gives a soft, surprised little laugh. "If it please Your Highness," he says, and the use of Noct's old title makes Gladio's heart skip a beat. If he'd closed his eyes it could be fifteen years ago, Noct taking Ignis by the sleeve and absconding with him on official business, straight-faced and serious like like it wasn't blatantly obvious what the two of them were planning on doing, like Noct hasn't been dragging Ignis into darkened corridors and empty rooms since Gladio was old enough to wear his family's crest.
