Why I Rec This Fic: Its´s hard to tell without spoilering it, but i love Belle in this, her impulsivity is a character trait that is important for me but i have not yet seen a lot about. It is also a real lovely moment between them.

Why I Rec This Fic: because of the way it handles gender roles and their little family, because i love stories about female role models and people growing up to be the true versions of themself.

Carrie wanted to fly, like Miss Price flew when she led her army of ghosts. And Carrie wasn’t afraid of any poisoned dragon’s livers.

Miss Price taught Carrie many, many things on those evenings – the house accounts, and Miss Price’s investments and financial affairs, and how to look after the motor cycle, and quite a lot about herbs.She taught her how to manage one’s own house, and use little charms – the ones Miss Price hadn’t learned from Professor Emelius Browne’s Correspondence College of Witchcraft.

Why I Rec This Fic: Most time people make happily ever after dark and tragic when they flesh them out but I like this exploration of it, it fits the optimistic tone of the canon and I love the sense of community.

Violet’s a child, and Helen doesn’t wish that her daughter were sneaking out at night to catch criminals, but she wishes Violet had the freedom to choose.
