Word Count: 549
Summary: "Moana did not come back from the ocean a different person, but sometimes it feels like she's the only person who knows that."
Why I rec this fic: Moana becoming a (demi)gd is a popular trope (and a possible interesting one), this is a nice take on that, showing that Moanas power comes from her humanity, from her connection to the people.

Moana stretches her arms above her head, just to feel the healing skin on her back. She’s finally gotten a tattoo – a manta ray stretching across her shoulders, just like her grandmother. She closes her eyes, and listens not to the ocean but to herself.

Why I rec this fic: Surpise little wlw! Sina and her friends being awesome.
“The eyes don’t always tell us things,” Sina said. “We can look but not see. Sometimes it’s better to open your ears and listen, or open your heart and feel.”
Pai peeked out between two fingers, questioningly.
Sina smiled at her, and winked. “Her eyes might be following him, but she always turns her head when she hears you coming.”
Title: Gloriole by WonderWafles
Fandom: Moana

Summary: AU: Roleswap: "The first time he sees her, she is clothed in stars."
Even Moana got tired of stories of her greatness after a while, and so, the older he got, the more mundane were the stories she told him.
Sometimes, it would be about her childhood. The time she stole a delicious-looking fruit from an Elder’s home and ate it all in one go. She had to work for her for a month to make up for it. Or when she would go sailing around her island with her father, looking out over the ocean and (when they thought of it, because she lived in a time of plenty) catch fish.
