Why I Rec This Fic: I liked Hair, there are a lot of things to like about it, but the way it treats its female characters is not one of them, so of cause my fav work in this fandom is incredible female centric, and gentle about the relationships and characters and their hopes and dreams, instead of falling into the way their kind of characters are often treaten due to sexism. It also has beautiful supporting love from the rest of the tribe and that makes me smile and feel better, they gonna be alright.

Why I Rec This Fic: This is a very gentle fic, its a slow burn kind of family focused love story, infused with nice historical context (including a soundtrack!) and the idea that our activism has to involve taking care of eachother, that kindness is radical in its own way.

Why I Rec This Fic: While In the Waiting Room & a song outside my window may be the kind of Hair fic I want to read/write I have to admit I still dig this kind of relationship angst in some unadult (guilty pleasure) kind of way. It is pretty low on Sheilas side of the story but Bergers love and comunication failures are a intense exhiting, emotional roller coaster .
