Music
General likes: big sincere emotions "feels", found family feels, female characters being awesome, character and relationship studies, celebrations of the wonders of the world around the characters, parallels, kindness/love saving the day, people healing from trauma and finding themself, vids celebrating the visual language of the source
General dislikes: lots of flashing lights
Blues Brothers (1980 + 2000)
I first watched the first movie when I was around 6 year old and I don´t think my parents meant to get me as hooked as I got, both this movies are instant cheer up movies for me, they always have me singing along and often also dance. Being me I have too much feels about the found family aspect of this movies, but I also love every side character of this movie and how I each of them comes with something iconic I cant forget.
Calvin and Hobbes
I know the chances of getting a still image vid are slim but one can dream. Calvin and Hobbes is funny, and loveing perspective shift to a childs mind. Calvin and Hobbes and their adventours or something about his parents perspective - I would love both. Do not want: "dark" interpretations (aka Hobbe sis a human eating tiger stuff, canon stuff like the dead raccon is okay)
Hellboy
What I really want is a vid for the comics, but that chances are very slim and a movie fanvid wouldnt be bad either!
What I would love for both: Trevor Burttholm & Hellboy; if we are speaking movie Trevor Burttholm & Hellboy & Abe Sapient & LIz;
the theme of standing up against "destiny" and chosing who you are, this is related to the first, to quote the otherwise kind of below medicore and from the art stand point bad Hellboy Animated Comic The Menagerie said, as an answer to monster of the week trying to pull Hellboy on their side, "And I heard you tell her you know what you are. And what exactly is that my boy?" "I am my fathers son".
Visuals: The comics have such great visuals!!
Monster of the week: i love that format, and I love the wacky hijinks that appear, or the richness of the world. fav not extremly plot relevant stories: The Troll Witch (THE FAV), christmas underground, the wolves of st angus,The Baba Yaga, chapel of moloch (Hellboy has art history opinions!), The Hydra and the lion,
Multifandom
Road Trips: (I admit I added this as a multi fandom request because Powwow Highway (1989) doesn´t have a canonical tag, but I DO love roadtrips, feel free to interpret that as board or narrow as you like (Lord of the rings is basically a road trip right? and so is the first Land before time.... etc)
some more source suggestions: Smoke Signals (1998), Grandma (2015), Paper Moon (1973), Blues Brothers (1980),
Russian fairytale adaption: one of the things I watched a lot during lockdown, because I wasnt always up for confronting new sources. Celeberate the visuals of the sources, or explore repeating tropes or the difference,
some source suggestions:
animated (The beautiful Little Mermaid (68) or the rotoscop ones of the 50s (The Scarlet Flower 1952, The Frog Princess 1954, The Tale of the Dead Princes 1951)
life action (The Little Mermaid 1976, How to Wake a Princess 1978, Princess Goldilocks 1973, Three Wishes for Cinderella 1973)
Music
I am not the biggest fan of voice-over over music because I find it hard to follow, but I am really open to different music so feel free to chose whatever suits you (if its not lofi, I really dont like that kind of music): pop, rock, blues, musicals, game soundtracks, country, hiphop, metal, folk, english (and german anime openings), novelity songs etc etc. I like it when people use songs that are seldom used but even if you take a song that already has 100 vids with it, I am sure whatever you will do with it will be your own and as that different, so no fretting there. The only language I can understand are english and german (and a bit yiddish) so if you use any other (which would be cool) it would be cool if you could also post (a link to) translated lyrics. Non music audio like poems or sound design are great too.

All Dogs Go to Heaven
Don Bluths style! Cute kids! Found families! Itchy/Charlie who do not have a canonical tag.
Anything really, its one of my childhood fav movies and I want more fanwork for it.
Kirikou et la Sorcière | Kirikou and the Sorcerer (1998)
I love the animation style, so bright coloured and full of pattern! I love the fairy tale style of the story telling, and I adore the community/family part of the stories.
AO3 only has a tag for the first one but if you want to use parts of the sequels (that are actually midquels) Please go for it!
Boy Meets World
Would love either poly Shawn/Topanga/Cory or a Topanga character study, but also ensemble, hjinks sitcom tropes and logic or general (found) family feels, celebration of side characters... whatever anyone wants to make.
Frida (2002)
Something celebrating the making of art, and the art of Frida (go meta if you want to!), something about her as a disabled person,
something about her love for her home country,
This movie has some pretty looking cinematography, so if you just want to play with that do so.
I am less interested in a vid only about her and Diegos relationship, but otherwise I am game.
Final Fantasy XII
Its not the perfect game or story, but for me there is a lot of potential, the world it presents is interesting and the story of letting go of anger and grief is always a hit with me. So I would love anything for either of this, the world
I think it miss its mark in terms of big smoopey feels for the hero team which I am personal disapointed at but if you manage to vid for them (or any form of their relationships excluding Ashe/Balthier, Ashe/Basch or Balthier/Penelo) I would love it. Outside of the whole hero group I specially interested in: Penelo & Larsa Ferrinas Solidor & Vaan or Fran and her sisters.
Character studies: Penelo or Vaan, being ordinary people and war orphans who still manage to be kind and go out to activly helping more people and I love them. Ashe and her journey from grief and anger (and I love her anger, female characters+anger are my thing), Fran and her decision for personal freedom and what it cost her, Larsa who is part of the antagonist force but who wants to reform it...
DNW: Vayne Soldier Gabranth any of the other judges or Balthier character study
I love video game vids that includ game play footage (I love the NPCs, from the little girl who walked on foot all the way to the moogles in the Salika forrest to the woman who had a pet morbol, if you want to include anyone, or make a vid just about them do so.) but if you just want to use the cut scenes thats cool too.
