Fandom: A Knight's Tale
Character/Pairing: Geoffrey Chaucer, William Thatcher, Roland, Wat, Kate
Summary: "Sometimes, not getting everything you wanted is for the best, really. The difference between romanticism and reality is knowing this.
Will’s just grateful for the things he received that he got to keep. He’s luckier than he ever thought possible."
Word Count: 4992
Why I Rec This Fic: The friendship in this movie just warm my heart.
Title: ready to shape the scheme of things by equestrianstatue
Fandom: A Knight's Tale
Character/Pairing: Geoffrey Chaucer, William Thatcher,
Geoffrey Chaucer/William Thatcher, Jocelyn/William Thatcher
Summary: “It would be easier if you could just come with me every time I have to see her,” Will says. “If only you were always just over my shoulder, telling me what to say.”
Warning: explicit/graphic sex,
Additional Tags: role play, Identity Porn, Instructional Poetry, Instructional Kissing, Instructional Handjobs
Word Count: 4537
Why I Rec This Fic: Beside the nice bit of angst and exhitement in the identity porn it really won me over by the way Will is written – he is a good kid and thats why people love him, simple as that, but still a character concept I always like to see more of.
Title: Luckiest Man Alive by TheGoodDoctor
Fandom: A Knight's Tale
Character/Pairing: Jocelyn/William Thatcher, William Thatcher/Wat/Geoffrey Chaucer/Roland, Christiana/Jocelyn
Summary: They all love eachother.
Warning: non graphic reference to sex
Word Count: 3920
Why I Rec This Fic: This is the exact kind of stuff I wanted to read for this fandom: poly love fluff. Bonus some inclusion of good consent regarding a character not interested in sex – which is always great but bonus here for how it shows that different people have different needs and wants in a poly relationship.
Wat curses as a larger splinter smacks into his cheek and Geoff gives him a concerned look. Roland flinches as the tip of the lance narrowly avoids him, caught by Kate.
“Why do we love him?” Wat whines.
The other three can only shrug.
Title: seldom spent in vain by llassah
Fandom: A Knight's Tale
Character/Pairing: Geoffrey Chaucer, William Thatcher,
Geoffrey Chaucer & William Thatcher
Word Count: 1637
Summary: "He had thought Will simple, once. Before the glory and riches, before Adhemar and Coleville, before pillories and desperate speeches, royal pardons and tipped lances. Just a boy with a stick and a dream to share, if only for a little while."
Why I Rec This Fic: Lovely use of setting – it really feels lived in and like something that shaped the characters.
